MILLVILLE, NJ (5 September 2024) – Precision Racing LA w/PT Autosport joins the Toyota GR Cup field at Barber Motorsports Park this week, ready to continue the momentum that saw the team earn a podium finish last month.

Henry Drury put on a show in the rain at Road America with a smart and steady drive from 16th to third to earn his first series podium. He now looks to carry that podium push forward – back behind the wheel of the No. 88 PT Autosport Toyota GR86 – to the latest track on his rookie tour, known as the “Alabama roller coaster.”

The 880-acre Barber Motorsports Park, which includes the 230,000 square foot Barber Vintage Motorcycle Museum, features a tricky 16-turn, 2.38-mile road course highlighted by 80’ of elevation changes and some of the highest G-forces in racing. The 24-year-old English born, Tampa, Fla. resident will check another track off the racing bucket list when he sees the track for the first time in Friday’s pair of practice sessions.

“I’ve heard that it’s absolutely gorgeous, a real driver’s track,” said Drury. “It’s another one of those places that people love to race at because it’s so flowing, fast and challenging. I’ve heard so much about the track – people speak so highly of it as a track but also how stunning the entire facility is. I can’t wait to get there on Friday and see it for myself.”

Drury has steadily progressed through his first season of professional racing and looks to the Barber weekend as a chance to take that next big step.

“The entire Precision Racing LA w/ PT Autosport team has been working so hard this year and I’m glad it’s showing in our results!” said Drury. “We’ve pulled ourselves forward inch by inch this year as I get to grips with pro racing, so to come from barely scraping into the top 20 at Sonoma to our first podium at Road America is a tribute to just how dedicated this entire team is. From myself to the crew, to the team owners, even the truck drivers, everyone has been improving week on week, committed to making our way to the front – and I’m looking forward to continuing that progress at Barber. I found a few bits and pieces with my technique at Road America to focus on this week, so hopefully we can make another step forward!”

“We are very excited to head to Barber and to see Henry race at this beautiful circuit,” said PT Autosport team principal Jason Myers. “He’s really done so well this season and has exceeded everyone’s expectations thus far, and we’ve got some exciting things in the works for him in 2025.”

The Toyota GR Cup series will contest two 45-minute races at Barber Motorsports Park – race one will take the green flag Saturday at 2:55 p.m. ET, with race two Sunday at 1:05 p.m. Both races will be broadcast live at www.grcup.com.
